Have you ever felt a presence despite being alone? You may have experienced "Third Man Syndrome." Tyler explains.

Referenced in this video:

Third man syndrome derives from a T.S. Eliot poem, "The Waste Land":
Who is the third who walks always beside you?
When I count, there are only you and I together
But when I look ahead up the white road
There is always another one walking beside you
Gliding wrapt in a brown mantle, hooded
I do not know whether a man or a woman
-- But who is that on the other side of you?

I shared this experience when you shared this on Facebook. In 1977 I was headed to work on I-64 in Va. Beach and in the misty rain I passed a tanker truck. Just as I cleared the truck, I heard a loud bang. I looked in my rear-view mirror and watched that tanker jack-knife left and roll onto the driver's side. A grocery store semi hit the tail of the tanker and jacked right, and the cab of that truck got stuck on the guard rails. I immediately slammed on brakes and as I got out, I could see the tanker's cab begin to catch fire. I ran at full speed to help the tanker's driver to get out because I didn't see anyone get out. Just before I got there, a voice as clear as your voice in this video, calmly said to me, right behind my right ear, "You can't help". Just having gotten out of the USCG, I without thinking, obeyed "orders" and noticed a girl with 4 dogs that the tanker had clipped and pushed her car into the large, grassed median. The dogs were running around like playtime, and she was trying to get them to move away from her car and the tanker. I turned to her, called the dogs and they came running to me like I was the Pied Piper. We all moved to what we thought was a safe distance from the increasing fire. The tanker then exploded into a huge tornado-like ball of fire. The blast almost knocked us down, but we were safe. Her car, the 2 lanes of the interstate and the median were consumed in that fire. I learned later from the news that the driver had gotten out. Probably while I was stopping and getting out of my car. That's the only time I have ever heard any "unhuman" voices and if it hadn't spoke to me or I hadn't obeyed, I would have probably been the only casualty of that event. 😇

One night in 1987 I was coming home late from my job. It was after 1:00am and as I traveled through an intersection a drunk driver hit me on my driver's side front panel and part of my door. The car spun around and was moving in reverse down the opposite lanes of traffic. I tried to get out of the car but my foot was stuck in between the clutch and brake. I was hanging out my door head first, using my hands to keep my head and upper torso from being dragged on the road. I got free and rolled into the middle of both lanes. Looking back at my car the engine was on fire. As I sat there in the middle of the highway, stunned in shock, out of nowhere stood an tall older man. He looked as real as could be urgently telling me to move to the side of the road. I told him I couldn't see without my glasses and I didn't know where they were. Almost spontaneously he handed me my glasses. He didn't touch me at all, just walked slowly beside me as I dragged myself to the side. I stopped and he said No! you can't stay there you need to get into the ditch, which I did. He said the police are on their way after I asked if he could get me help. Then I looked down at the mud and water I was laying in, I looked back up and no one was there. He was gone. It was a wide open area I could see for almost a mile in both directions and there were street lights also. Thanks for the opportunity to share!

I made a drive from Alberta to Ontario Toronto and in the middle of the night while driving my father who had died 5 years earlier showed up in my passenger seat and talked to me through the night and when the sun peaked he was gone. I never told anyone this because I know they would think I am crazy but it happened because at that moment I needed it most love your shows thank you for your kindness. 😊

I was in peril about 6 years old and presence calmed me..ethereal. And I didn't label other than energies, there are many explanations, subconscious, coping mechanisms etc etc etc. Ok it is like trying to explain a miracle, not possible. BUT... there is one thing - the comfort never passed, the loving energy, the assurance... remains. The experience does not fade, almost like a door was opened... I don't really care about the explanation. I care about how they made me feel

How neat is this. I met a few in a near death experience I had when I was 9. I didn't know many I met on the journey into the space I was in, but I met them years later. One was my son. I realized that on his 9th birthday. I knew I met him when I died, I have never doubted that. I know it as sure as I stand here. Thank you for sharing, very interesting 👍 ❤

Thanks for sharing Tyler ❤
I remember so well the time I was saved by a guardian angel as a child. Me and my friend climber up an old tree, under the tree was an old stack with old barbed wire and stakes sticking straight up.When I was almost at the top of the tree, a branch suddenly narrowed from under my foot, and I fell helplessly with my back to the ground where barbed wire and stakes were sticking up. I fell and looked up at the sky, and suddenly the clouds dispersed and the gray sky shone, and in the light an angel came towards me. She was so beautiful. She looked like the angels do in old pictures, but I saw no wings, but she was an angel. So I fell, in a panic. She looked at me and smiled, she looked so peaceful, she was so calm. and when she smiled at me, I felt myself calm down. she held out her hands and showed them to me, then I felt her hands on my back, and I felt the fall slowing down. When I "woke up" from the incident, I was sitting completely unharmed on a rock some distance from the tree. in front of me stood my friend stiff as a statue with wide eyes, she looked shocked and didn't say a word. we looked at each other then we ran into the house. Since that day I have believed in angels. I think about the incident sometimes, and wonder why she saved me. life has been painful so far, but I try to think that maybe there is a chance that life will get better. I am grateful that she saved me.
Thanks for letting me share

Maybe not the same, the day I turned in the man who abused me for 3 years, started with a sense of letting go and letting the pieces fall where they may... just believing that I was ready to build my life back up.

I love this! I had never heard of the "Third Man Syndrome" When I catch myself feeling alone through my struggles and hardships, even in my darkest days.. I start to feel the comfort, guidance, a strength, a knowing that the angels are with me to support me every step of the way. I have been in situations where in the right timing, I was protected from an accident or someone gave me a warning to catch my attention. I am grateful for their presence, as I can't imagine my life without it.

There have been times when I have known things I could not know. I have always thought this knowledge came from those beyond. They were not times when I might have been at the end of my life, but rather when someone else was. And knowledge of the situation just pops into my head and I know it to be fact, not conjecture. And it has always been borne out.

I was lost in the woods when I was 2.
A man appeared and led me to my family.
They didn't see him walking behind me.
There's a lot more details to this story.
I've never seen eyes so blue.

Cokeville Elementary hostage situation of 1986… many children saw angels and their deceased grandparents. It’s a true miracle of survival.

When I was two-almost three, I feel down an entire staircase. It was the narrow, steep kind that existed in Brooklyn Brownstones.
I never even touched a stair or tread.
Two powerful huge hands carried me down the entire staircase and set me at the bottom.
Rhe whole thing feltlike a fun rude in the slide and I was neither injured nor scared.
My older suster had died within a few weeks of this incident. I often feel that my parents couldn't have handled the death of another child.
BTW, my mom credited my snowsuit for saving my life LOL!

When I was at a very very bad mental state, I literally reached out for answers from the world, and got quite literally a person who answered it perfectly. Don't worry about what is to come after your life, worry about what to do with the time that you are given, and I think about it a lot.
