A lot of movies have forgettable soundtracks but I love when I rewatch movies and I actually know the music in my head

Saw it yesterday again, what I love so much about this movie is that extraordinary things happen to ordinary people who just wish to continue their everyday lifes. Being confronted with the inevitable every character deals with it in his or hers way, but eventually everything falls it its place. Also the level of suspense is great, whether it is Graham looking at his crops with the dogs barking or the banging on the walls by the invading aliens. The suspense and tension is simple and great. It leaves much to imagination.

A lot of people talk of this movie as a horror movie and that the music is creepy. My impression is that the music actually has some kind of happines and a feeling of curiosity to it. Wanting to know more about the aliens and being excited that we arent alone in this world, that is what it sounds to me.

I loved this movie because it captured two stories/scenarios in one. Mainly, the scenario that everyone knows being the aliens and mystery/horror involving them. The second being about a man; a father who had lost his wife due too a drunk driving accident and who has given up and is struggling with his faith. You continue to see that struggle throughout the movie. The two scenes that I love the most are when he finally forgives the man that killed his wife and also when his child is having difficulty breathing and we see him struggling with that faith again.
