Considering the fact that at the time of Sonic Central airing (May 27th), it was exactly two weeks away from Summer Games Fest (June 10th) so I'm confident that Sonic Rangers gameplay and more Sonic Colours Ultimate info will be revealed on June 10th or during E3 as I'm under the impression that Sonic Central was a teaser for what's to come and to build up hype.

I agree with you completely. Let’s hope we’re both right!! It just doesn’t make any sense to show so little and not show anything else at E3. Not only that, but it’s also Sonic’s birthday month. More news is absolutely coming very soon.

Personally, I thought a small teaser was fine for Central because it was essentially just a teaser for E3/30th anniversary, if we don't see gameplay in either of those events, I would say being concerned is justified.

i'm with TWIP on this one the have to show something at those events if they are smart they could have a full CGI trailer giving more context to the game at summer game fest and a follow up with gameplay reveal at E3 they dont have to hype the game's release, but if they show that it would be enought info to keep fans and others exited about the game until the release date gets revealed and the promotion of the game officialy starts

I’ll admit you have a lot of good points. Colors, Generations, and Lost World had short teasers (either being a video or screenshots) before their gameplay reveals just a few weeks later. Forces was the anomaly where we weren’t given any information for nearly a year after its reveal, and we found out that was because they had barely started working on the actual game when that trailer was shown. If Rangers ends up being shown at E3, around two weeks after its teaser, it really wouldn’t be unusual given the three mainline games before Forces literally did just that

It could just be my pessimism, but I think the next time they'll show the game will be late 2021, or early 2022. And that they showed the teaser just to say "we're working on it".

I think they'll advertise Colors and Rise of the Wisps until September, then wait a couple of months with no game news, then have Origins and the next game's advertising cycles start near each other in late 2021/early 2022. There'll be merch sprinkled in-between game news/releases
