“Life is short, have an affair” = life is short, fuck it up

The thing that really bothered me about including the couple with an open marriage in the documentary was that those two consented to their relationship being the way it was. Partners of people using Ashley Madison did not. Huge difference!

Peter, the pregnancy test was contrived. It later came out that the test and subsequent "miscarriage" was contrived. Yes Sam & Nia flat out made it all up! Yes and that nasty girl needs to flush the damn toilet. I watched the docuseries over the weekend, and I couldn't stop yelling at the TV LOL

Can I also say, in addition to how terrible affairs are, it’s terrible that:
1. This documentary made Love is An Open Door get stuck in my head for days.
2. The cookies that woman made looked DRY AF.

The whole thing can be summed up by the fact that the customer service employee they interviewed is one minute talking about how her heart is breaking for the ‘victims’ of the hack and then next minute talking about how she participated in defrauding them by creating fake accounts and lying to spouses when they’d call in asking about the credit charges. Give me a break.

Watching the video I sat thinking “surely this man cannot be this thick” And imo, he absolutely is and almost seems proud. All the while leaning into a religion. It was very ick imo

I disliked Sam and Nia. First off, it isn't my place to say that she shouldn't have forgiven him—that's her choice. I just hope he seriously came clean and confessed to everything, which I somewhat doubt.

They are family vloggers, which makes them easily dislikeable for one thing: putting their children out there for everyone to see like that. Another reason is that they are so fake. This whole incident with him finding out that she was pregnant first and making a viral video about it. Many medical professionals have shown that it would be impossible to get a conclusive result by testing pee you fished from the toilet. Then there is the whole miscarriage thing, only to be pregnant a few weeks later, which many people believe was staged too. Also, a part of the series was left out and misconstrued—specifically, the convention they went to. Sam got into a heated argument with someone because they liked a tweet about him being revealed in the leaks, and that's why they left. That part was not mentioned. He continued to be somewhat unfaithful. When they went on a trip to Israel I believe he confessed to having flirted with some lady.

Seriously!! I see RIGHT through people who try to use religion as an excuse.

I’m saying this as I start listening to you, Peter, for me to get a start on my opinion so I can get a feeling for where I stand after listening to the longer conversation about AM. I am proudly pro-sex between consenting adults where there aren’t power differentials between partners. I’m not against partners having different power levels in a sexual relationship, but my concern is that the powerful person factor that in and care for and protect the less powerful. Because I am a cis-gender woman in monogamous marriage with a cis-gender man does not mean what works for us must work for everyone else. My concern is in one partner not being monogamous while the other partner is monogamous and expects that they are both monogamous. The consequence for an innocent person in that is not okay. By chance, this happened to be the situation for my aunt in the 80’s. My aunt married her childhood sweetheart and they were married for at least five years. She knew him practically her whole life. One day, she went to her doctor and found out she had an STI that could be treated with medication (fortunately). She had only been with her husband. She confronted him and he acknowledged being unfaithful, but his honesty could not be verified beyond that. Monogamous relationships are not required, but honesty so your partners can make informed decisions and provide explicit consent for sex is. That’s why I was against AM.

Listen, Linda. Cause she never do. Anyways. My father taught me two life lessons in the entire course of our relationship, albeit not a positive helpful one. One of those lessons is “life is short” at age 8.5. The other was “I’m not mad. I’m disappointed” at age 8. If I got that lesson from my father of all people, no way that man didn’t hear “life is short” until 35.

"life is short.. what the fuck" YES i reacted the same way! the man was on there describing a normal human experience as 'stressors' but the whole time that dude was a dog... i bet hes out chasing ass as we speak! men like that don't change when they go into paying for attention territory
