The Battle of Naseby 1645

A tour of the battlefield of Naseby, fought on 14th June 1645; the battle that turned the tide of the English Civil War. The main Royalist field army was defeated in detail, its veteran foot killed or captured. It was the first major test of parliament's New Model Army.

Thanks for that. We were doing a walk that took in Sibertoft on the 16th June, and walked in some of these fields, but not up as far as the Cromwell Memorial, which we`ve visited previously on a Naseby walk. The explanation was excellent and I understand more of what went on. Many thanks.

Great video and very informative...I've visited the cromwell monument a couple of times but never walked the battlefield. What happened to all the casualties...where they buried where they fell or in local churchyards?
