As a Scot living in Spain I reckon I speak for the majority
of normal, everyday Western Europeans that want nothing to do
with this exclusively Slav conflict.
Slavs should sort themselves out and stop using us for their ends
against their fellow Russians.
Our leaders do not represent us in this warmongering crusade
They're betraying the essence of what inspired all of us to unite,
which was to stop fighting against each other.
We should be mediating with tolerance and encouragement.

You'd be surprised how little Ukraine comes up in everyday conversation right here in the economic heartland of Europe.

Few people are concerned about Russia taking over shop, even though the media drives home this talking point incessantly. Some are so fed up with the current European elite that they would quietly welcome it.

What people are really worried about are the falling living standards, the fraying of the social order and the possibility of being force marched into another futile lost war in the east.

The realization that they have been duped (again) by the powers that be is slowly sinking in among Europeans - but there still is long way to go before reality catches up with the silent majority.
