It's kids that cause the most trouble involving rock throwing over these walls. There may be some in their late teens and early 20s who are disenfranchised. Parents need to teach their kids to refrain from violence. The majority of people are moving on and trying to live in place with their neighbors.

In this day and age, I would of hoped that there would be an understanding that no matter how any of the families have arrived there, it is Irelands land, but it's also now those who were offered the opportunity whilst under British rule. I would just hope that it's as important for the children of those families to retain that history if where they came from and where they are now. Its now as much their right to stay there as the Irish themselves. So I see no reason for conflict, there is no pride in what Britain done to Ireland, but that does not mean those families who came should not feel pride in their heritage. I believe we have no reason to nit change fir each other, so having parades should be an equal respect for each other. If it means diverting curtaining routes to reduce conflict and promote cohesion, I'd be more proud of whatever community I come from seeing us making as many adjustments we need to make each other as welcome and pushing through the narrative of the future safety and community respect for each other. All communities and their heritage matter....There is no honour or pride for a victor that destroys another culture. We should expect to be better than that as evolved as we

So how do they interact at the work place? Or the rest of Northern Ireland?

As an American, it just amazes me that there can still be such severe conflicts over religious differences even in the Western world. Even in the U.S. we struggle with political differences, but at least we aren't erecting physical walls to divide our communities.

Or they can just grow out of religion and have their differences disappear.

How Protestants and Catholics, two groups of people who worship the same god, same Jesus and use the same bible, don’t get on, just baffles the mind

Would have been cheaper and way easier to give the are to Ireland. Britain is unnecessary stubborn to keep the area. It is even geographically away from other parts of the country. No need to be colonialist annymore.

There used to be a good wall in Berlin, and that coming down was a crime against humanity.
