I look at all this and am surprised ... colossal resources are invested in something that no one, in a global sense, needs. For this money it would be possible to feed, cure or create a huge center for the rehabilitation of sick people (children).

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) said that one of the signs of the Hour is that you would see 'the shepherds compete in constructing tall buildings' (Muslim).

In another hadith, narrated by Imam Ahmad from Ibn Abbas, the Prophet Muhammad was asked by a friend about who the shepherd meant. "O Messenger of Allah, and who are the shepherds, people who do not wear sandals, are hungry and poor?" He replied, "Arabs."

This screams bad idea on multiple levels.

Those screens alone will demand energy of small cities themselves, and the air circulation needs to be seriously well thought out if you don't want people to die.
Then there's the teeny tiny issue of plumbing, how the neighborhood is going to be affected, how expensive it will be to keep repairing the giant monitor screens...

I think a way smaller building as a prototype is way smarter than going for something of this size, because then you can see what issues will actually crop up and see how much worse it'd be if you had this full size monster constructed.
