Prince Edward and Prince Andrew Reflect on Loss of Duke of Edinburgh

Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, his wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex and their daughter Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor all attended a small church service at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor on Sunday.

After the ceremony, the Royal Family members expressed their grief in touching speeches about Prince Philip’s passing.

The Duke of Edinburgh passed away on Friday at the age of 99.

I served in the Royal Navy on board ship with Prince Andrew and had the Pleasure of meeting The Duke of Edinburgh several times. I know who will be missed the most, RIP Sir, you were! an officer and a Gentleman

The Wessexes are a particularly lovely family. They are already close to the queen and regular visitors with her for tea and horseback riding, so they will remain close at hand. They also know the pain of this from the death of Sophie's mother and her father now resides with their family.

Poor Sophie looks like she's trying not to burst into tears when she talks about him.
Quite amazing how the Wessex family were the ones fronting the media more then the others, but then they are such a lovely family and they come across as very genuine and very likeable.

Sophie is an angel, and Prince Edward reminds me so much of his grandfather King George...I wish that all the Royal wives could have been like Sophie.
