'Spoken like a true socialist': Albanese's 'ludicrous' answer over cashless debit card

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese gave a ludicrous answer when asked why his government is scrapping the cashless debit card, Sky News host Andrew Bolt said.

Mr Bolt said Mr Albanese's answer showed he was more horrified by someone on the cashless debit card having a "profit motive" than the welfare money being spent on booze while children go hungry.

"That answer tells you so much about this government – ideology first, reality second," Mr Bolt said.

Government wants a referendum on the voices of Indigenous, and yet doesn't want to listen to the actual indigenous voices in parliament? Makes sense.

Labour want to enshrine a 'Voice to Parliament' for the indigenous peoples of Australia, yet they ignore the indigenous voices already present.

Keep the pressure on Andrew, you are at the top of your game. And thank you. This is really important work: to analyse, clarify and simplify for us.

Jacinta Price is a true representative for her people, not the inner city aboriginal industrialists.

In 100 years, Price has been the best voice for aboriginals in Parliament. It is important to her that the truth is told, that violence is a reality in these communities. As a result, Albo & the Teals will be responsible for destroying many lives in these communities.

Amazing person is Jacinta Price who really understands how to help her people and its not the recognition of Australias first people at every opening of an envelope, most people are totally sick of that woke bullshit but support and respect where Jacinta is coming from.

I’m a Australian quadriplegic and now with this new government my mother can no longer be paid to be my caregiver anymore because she is my mother

Oh well, if people aren't prepared to consider alternatives, and, instead, keep voting for politicians that don't really give a damn about Australians, then we are stuffed.

Jacinta Price is a woman of absolute substance and honour. Anthony Overeasy is a weak minded fool.

Shouldn't Aussies start demanding the "Aboriginal's" to start actually contributing rather than being continuing to be Burdens as they have been for Decades?

They want an indigenous voice in parliament yet when the indigenous speak, they don't want to listen.

Jacinta is exactly right on these points. Lifting the grog bans on dry communities is a very, very bad idea. Albos idealism on this is going to hurt many Aboriginal families. If he goes ahead and lifts these bans, he will need to go and stay with one of these communities for an entire week. So he can see for himself.

Lydia Thorpe should take a leaf out of Jacinta Price’s play book, Jacinta is a perfect example of how a senator should act, she has the respect and she’s an inspiration to indigenous people as indigenous people have respect for her. Unlike Lydia she doesn’t act like a spoilt petulant child that throw’s a tantrum when ever she cant get her own way. Much respect to you Jacinta, from a white man.
