This is such complete bs. Michelle Williams is a great actress, but her pull at the box office is a joke compared to Wahlberg. There are millions of people in this country that don't even know who she is. Understand, I actually think that Williams is a better actor than Wahlberg, but that is not what this is about. This is pure economics. Wahlbergs agents get a cut of his pay, they knew they could force the producers of this film to cough up the cash because they had no box office draw without him so they negotiated this deal. If they tried to do the same with Williams they would have gotten nowhere and it would have damaged her career, This has zero to with gender.

But the thing is Michelle Williams isn't as famous as Mark Wahlberg(former rapper and Calvin Klein model). His brand is just bigger than Williams which is why he is paid more. I know gender inequality is an issue but this is a not a great example of it.
