St. George was truly a warrior. His heroic courage in the face certain suffering and death is what Christian warriors wish we could live up to. Thank you for sharing his legend with us. I have always heard of St. George but never took the time to learn about him. Very inspiring.

From Ethiopian Orthodox we celebrate st George every month on 23 and yearly at april 23 የቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስ በረከት ይደርብን amen🤲

In Ethiopian Orthodox Church St George called Arch -Martyr and he is a patron saint. The Church and the believers celebrates monthly and yearly feast days of Saint George. May his blessing and prayer be upon us!

God Bless you for the beautiful video. When Ethiopian forces defeated the invading army of Italy, on Sunday 1 March, 1896, (YEKATIT 23, 1888 E.C.) the Emperor Menelik led the army with the St George (Qidus Giorgis) church priests and fighters saying mass and chants in the name of the Saint. So, we do believe he is our Patreon saint, who protected our nation. Legend from the war front details the testimony of some enemy soldiers, who claimed having seen the Saint on the side and in the midst of Ethiopian army, which they couldn't defeat. The Ethiopian army was by far poorly armed with barely spears, swords and shields compared to the mighty, well armed and modern Italian army.

So it is true St Giorgis is our Patreon saint.
