i discovered the clue that solved one of tears of the kingdom’s most notorious failures while working on my most recent response video to hayato sensei.
the game still sucks though.

Not only did they miss the reference in the localization, but the truth about Shrine Island was found not by a Tears fan, but by Tears of the Kingdom #1 hater plushie, which makes it all the more funny.

I guess in the end, the true Shrine Island is the references we didn't translate along the wat.

If you want some extra fuel for shrine garbage fire: one of the shrines doesn’t connect to its light root. The shrine on floating hyrule castle has a light root, which quite obviously cannot connect to the shrine as it is floating in the sky.
