Wow! I have (2) FX6's on my 190 gallon and love them. What I love about Fluval products is they listen to what the customer wants. They listened and made some adjustments to make a great canister even better. I might have to pick one up and do a review on it.

I wish I could afford things like this. Things are expensive here in South Africa

I love my Fx6. The only problem for me is emptying the canisters. It has to be elevated for water to drain out the hose. I’m a senior citizen and it’s difficult to elevate a full canister to go through that process.

I am confused a little. I been running the FX5 for about 5-6 years. I keep see people put the polished filter on top. The manual says to install on the bottom basket. The white filter. The blue filter, says to put it, in the middle or top. Help

What is the diameter of the FX4 canister filter?

Crazy question.... Why not have a LONGER hose and instead of running it into a bucket run it into a sink or toilet? I've been doing that with the FX5 for years now. Works great. More hose, less work. ;-)

My FX5 has been running for quite a bit, every now and then i change the seal rings, for my own piece of mind. The lid locking is alright not my favorite since they break so easily, filtration capacity is good. So why would I go to a FX4 or an FX6 its essentially doing the same thing. no?

Please explain why the FX4 is not found on the Fluval website. It just seems absolutely ridiculous to me.

If the power goes out, say for a few hours will the filter come back on ?? Or will it need to be reprimed??

Would be nice if they upgraded their crappy lid clamps. I'll stick with Eheim solely for that reason.

So to confirm, the water flow goes UP through the side foams then DOWN through the centre baskets?

I made my own bad ass canister filter for a fraction of the price.

Please clarify where lid O ring goes? Outside of inside top lid? And new phosphate and nitrite pads go in bottom level correct?
