As someone who had only owned gas station flippers and generally a fixed blade guy that mostly uses knives for bushcraft, filleting, and hunting. I jumped on the civivi exarch immediately. You'd expect someone like my to be in the opposite demographic for the exarch. But it still keeps an edge after filleting dozens of fish and has zero corrosion. It may be an executive knife for EDC but I put it through it's paces and it held up. Got one for my dad who is the ultimate outdoorsman and he loves it.

Just got a Pintail with dark green micarta scales with the S35vn blade. It’s my first Civivi. I was blown away by the packaging and attention to detail considering the price. I can’t believe how smooth the action was right out of the box

When you were talking about the positioning of the flipper tab on the Asticus and how it interacts with the force around the pivot, the term you’re looking for is “centrifugal force”. It refers to the force of a body as it rotates around an axis. You’re welcome 😉

I just got a civivi Ortis about five minutes ago in the mail, WAS NOT expecting the pouch, cloth and stickers. I’m astounded with the packaging, and the action is awesome. It’s so light too!

If it had metal scales like the leek I’d probably call it the best knife in my collection, am planning on trying it edc with my leek

Agree 100% on the brass scales for the McKenna...it takes a great knife to the next level. I had a G10/D2 version but after I got the brass/154CM variant...my green G10 never sees pocket time. Love the knife...my favorite for sure. Considering getting one in copper/damascus next.

I only have 1 knife and that is the elementum. I feel like its a staple to have in any knife collection. I just got the classic grey scales but I am thinking about getting the wood scale back blade. It looks so good, but first I want to expand my collection and geta fixed blade next.
