If you disagree, then send me some super thank so I can buy a legit one 🇺🇸 A trim edge was used on the bed hole, I’m aware I said mic while showing you the measurements with a dial caliper(guess you didn’t want to see the size), tank straps and NC solenoid valve on the way as this is a prototype. Why are you so mad bro. You need more bunghole in your life.

If I had a 50 gallon tank on my Jetta I’d be able to drive at least 1700 miles on a single tank. That would be amazing

Nice work on that bunghole, Cornholio!

All that handyman work and you chose to mount it with a ratchet strap...fantastic

If my civic had a 50 gallon tank, it will probably travel half the world 😅

I always had the understanding that you are supposed to use tp for bungholes

Co worker bought his Ram 3500 and it had a lower profile 1000L tank in the bed for crazy long haul towing. He didn't want the tank, but he drove the truck to work and back for about 5 months until the he got a shock to his system when the needle started to move lmao.

Edit: He's a fully licensed tech who's removed it already and repaired it to stock.

Neat idea but i would recommend putting some form of gramet whereever a hose goes through metal or near it. Even flat metal can wear through hoses and wires

You should weld a metal case around it, put it inside and then add the expanding foam just so it’s an extra step of safety for you. That looks good.

PMMA acrylic probably shouldnt be used on an application meant to prevent fuel from leaking out.

Throw in a diamond plate toolbox, and nobody will ever know. Some random will be walking by and empty your spare tank out.

I'm am no expert here on this, but i tried this exact thing and it would either soak the vent till you see diesel dripping out somewhere, or caused a check engine light on for "fuel pump pressure mismatch" code or something like that. So i capped the drain and put the fuel pump that was on it to a toggle switch and that fixed the issues, just have to flip it on for like 5 minutes going down the road here and there, works great now. My truck was not happy with that first set up, i have a 2020 F350 diesel.

Awesome for sure. I bought a truck with a similar setup but they used an actual fuel cell type tank. I would definitely reconsider your mounting setup

Awesome work! You should get a toolbox and put the tank in that, and then build a small frame around it inside the box. That way it’s hidden (safe from thieves) and you have a little extra storage! I love long range tanks, good job!

Man if someone wanted to steal fuel they would be defeated by those left hand threads I bet haha

I might have blown the shavings out with an air compressor but we all do things differently. Great job bro theres no better feeling then accomplishing something you worked on

I have the same thing on a 1/4 turn valve and becareful of the main tank breather tube you’ll over fill the tank east if you don’t catch it in time
