While in Warsaw, Poland for President Biden’s address, NSC Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said the U.S. is continuing to monitor Russia’s nuclear activities after President Vladimir Putin announced he will be pulling out of the nuclear START treaty.

Russia is not a domesticated elephant which is somehow tricked into believing that the small chain tied to its leg and pegged on the ground is enough to stop it from moving. They know their strength, they know what they got and what the alliance does not. I don’t think they can be bluffed out of their strength. Russia has been very restrained so far and haven't even flexed yet.
