He arrived there on the Concorde from Heathrow. He wore the same clothes. Imagine flying at two times the speed of sound over the Atlantic, and then singing an iconic song that makes your hair raise, in front of 100.000 people.

Humanity is amazing and we have an incredible history.

God bless Phil Collins. He did 2 performances this day. 1 in England and another in the US all in one day!!! He is suffering today but is still performing live. This is a true showman!!

The 80's had it's issues, but I'd go back in a heartbeat to live in this time. No internet, no social media, no bullshit....and just how good was Phil Collins

"I was in England this afternoon, funny old world innit?" Some sayings you never forget, it's as fresh in my mind today as it was 34 years ago!

If Freddie Mercury stole the show at Live Aid in '85, then Phil Collins was his accomplice in doing so. Man, what a great performance. Such a crisp and clear voice, no enhancements, just pure vocal and musical talent.

No lights show, no voice coder, no band, no artifice. Just Phil, a piano, his voice and time is off! Amazing performance.

Kids...this is what really enjoying a concert looks like..not just standing there with your cellphone filming and missing the moment!!!

You couldn't do what Phil Collins did on Live Aid back in the 80s - it requires a supersonic passenger aircraft, and they no longer exist :(

There’s something pretty amazing about captivating close to 100, 000 people with just a piano and a voice.

Now then, let’s take a second here. This song is possible the most famous drum song ever made. The balls and confidence in your abilities and talent to play this whole song on a world stage and not hit one drum beat is unbelievable. Smashed it.

When he paused for the drum but and they all did it, the crowd lifted after that. Their energy went up so much because they all played drums for Phil Collins for a brief moment, so cool that he gave that to them.

I was there and we all did the drum solo, the sound of 100, 000 people doing that was amazing
