Brandon Victor Dixon has officially tied with Carl Anderson as the best Judas!! He made his own while honoring the original so well. And that ROCK SCREAM!!!! If John Legend couldn’t do it at least he could!! Truly the Superstar of the whole show!

This is one of the best performances of 'Superstar" that I've seen. Most others come off as corny - a sign of the times. Here, though, I see a cross of Christian revivalism and flash mob (what we might have called a 'street performance' back in the day). Brandon Victor Dixon is great, but the entire cast and choreography made it feel more in line with the song's intended message.

This production touched me deeply, but the original Broadway production and cast recording is what made this play an iconic masterpiece. This performance by Dixon is the only time I've ever seen anyone match (or surpass) the original, and Sara Bareilles (SP?) did a good job with Mary Magdalene's parts. John Legend gets props for TRYING to mimic Ian Gillian's vocals, but he failed. Neely and Anderson were also very, very good in the original movie. I do believe that Andrew Lloyd Weber and Timothy Rice were inspired to write this; it brings tears to my eyes every single time.
