President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. warmly received the Right Honorable Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand, as he commenced his three-day Official Visit to the Philippines from April 18-20, 2024.

Arrival honors were accorded to Prime Minister Luxon at the Kalayaan Grounds, with the respective delegations of both countries in attendance.

Thereafter, President Marcos Jr. invited the Prime Minister to sign the guest book at the Reception Hall inside Malacañan Palace.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Secretary Enrique Manalo (Department of Foreign Affairs), Secretary Alfredo Pascual (Department of Trade and Industry), Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga (Department of Environment and Natural Resources), Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil (Presidential Communications Office), Secretary Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr. (Special Assistant to the President), Secretary Frederick Go (Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs) and Ambassador Kira Christianne Azucena (Embassy of the Philippines in New Zealand) joined the Chief Executive in the ceremony.

The New Zealand leader's official visit aims to strengthen and broaden cooperation between the two nations, which has a long history of strong political, economic and people-to-people relationships.
