The story of the Roma

The Roma people have been scorned and persecuted for more than 1,000 years. Where do they originate from and why are they still marginalised?

Romas are Indian communities like Doms, Madaris, Musahars, Nats, Bazigars, and Sansis who migrated from India nearly 1000 years ago. I literally feel sad and have deep sympathy for my Roma brothers and sisters.😔💔 Love from India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

Gypsies Romas are originally from northern India, north eastern Pakistan region of Punjab and Pakistan's province of Sindh. They fled south Asia during the 8th Century A.D when Muhammad bin Qasim and other Muslim invaders from the Middle East, Persia/Iran, and Afghanistan attacked India and gradually settled across Europe as travelers and nomads and changed their religion, names and certain customs. Their DNA is almost similar to North Indians and Pakistanis

The first persecution of Romas started during Turkic invasions of India. This is when they forcibly kidnapped people and took them on foot to Europe. Many people died in the mountains of present day Afghanistan. Hence, the name Hindu Kush mountain range. Turkey always like to portray others' persecution but never mention their own record of persecution and enslavement!!

They are a people like any other. The Roma I have met were always very kind people. People fear what they don't understand.

Iam a roma gypsy our country was in aciant times india .. but ever since than we are the only homeless race of humans we are the most look down on .. but thats ok bcuz we are very happy and proud ! And our blood lines are clean ! And we are true survivors ! We know how to survive ! And we took the most brutal abuses with a smile !
