Its been five days now, i think i am almost there. I dont barre the first fret but just press the fourth string using index then barre 1-3 string fourth fret. I am trying to use the finger position like seen in rock and roll. And its slowly coming around. Sounds the same. So grateful to this video cause not a lot of videos with this chord. I think people avoid this chord a lot but its in my fav songs. Hehe. Thank you again

my pinky is short and weak to press it down

Put your middle and ring finger on the third string on the second and third fret! This will give u more leeway/strength for your pinky to press down!

Sounds OK but I'd like to know why we are barring the first fret instead of just pressing down on the G string with finger 1

You may also use the following patterns starting with the g string:
2204 or 6444

They are much easier for people with not so buff pinkies lol

Or if that's too hard you can do that except instead of barring the whole top fret you can just mute the g string. Thanks dude!
