The Box - Music Menus (June 1999)

From my personal collection (Tape #91). A handful of The Box's different music menus from June of 1999. These acted as directories for buying and requesting music videos as the three-digit number accompanying each track would be dialed (or typed if ordering online) upon ordering a request.

It's a shame that recordings of The Box have become so scarce as time goes on because I personally love seeing outdated services such as this one. Tape #90 in my collection has some Box as well, but all menus are cut short unfortunately. Enjoy!

We didn’t have cable in the home I grew up in, and had to wait until the local tv stations play music videos on late Saturday nights…Then The Box became available and then I feel like an outcast at school anymore because I seen the lasted videos as they came out…This network is my TEEN YEARS

I've been looking for stuff from this channel for forever (if it wasn't obvious from the avatar). I only ever watched it in 2000 (which is probably the time period I've seen the most stuff pop up) but it's great to have anything.

My mom never let me call in, so I’d sit waiting for someone else would dial the 3 digit code for the video I wanted. They’d always dial the first 2 digits and then something different lol

I've been looking for the box myself, I taped the box myself, I had about 20 tapes but I lost them in Hurricane Katrina, I hope you have the box from 1998 1999 and 2000.

Now if a video says a word that a kid doesn't like, the entire TV station has to get cancelled.
