And thank God that nowadays we have YouTube where music videos are free that cost of no charge and watch them at anytime anywhere anyplace and wherever and no longer have to be at home setting in our living rooms in front of our TV set's and waiting for music videos to play and as we all know it that those days are over and long gone forever cuz we take YouTube on the go and right their we can definitely control our music but the box will always hold a special place in my heart forever cuz I grew up watching The Box as a kid and it became part of my childhood. Evolution of The Box/MTV2:
1985: The Box is founded in Miami, Florida as Video Jukebox Network, created by Steve Peters, and was originally carried on low-power broadcasting stations
1990: The Box is sold to a group of investors that included TCI (now Liberty Media)
1994: Les Garland, founder of MTV, becomes CEO of The Box
1996: M2 was launched 15 years after the original MTV was launched in 1981
1997: The Box goes on cable and satellite
1999: M2 changes their name to MTV2 and Viacom (now Paramount Global) purchases The Box from TCI and Liberty Media
2001: The Box shuts down and is folded into MTV2
2003: MTV2 is making history with Headbangers Ball
2005: MTV2 introduces the Two-Headed Dog logo
