I never thought i would miss the smell of perm solution. My mom passed away about 15 years ago, she was a hairdresser and amazing at it. I remember watching her do perms on little old ladies with really short purple or gray hair, and just being amazed by her precision on such little hair. I still cant walk into a salon without taking a deep breath and being reminded of her. The horrible smell of perm solution reminds me of my childhood long lost but forgotten.
