Brings me back to 8 -9 years old all over again. I would often hear most of these on my transistor radio, my mom's kitchen radio in morning as I was getting ready for school. Often, my brothers and I would call the radio station and request that they play some of these songs. Of course, back then, most of these were on AM radio, way before AM became talk radio only. What a great, simpler time where people bought 45s and 33s, listened to the crackle of the stereo needle on the record as we waited for the song to start, watched American Bandstand, Soul Train, watched 3 channels on TV, and wore outfits that resembled the time. Anyone who grew up during this time knows what I mean.

Don’t be overly sad. 70’s was when an angel agreed to marry me. We built a tiny house and had first 2 of 4 children. She has passed now but not from my heart. The 70’s gave us special memories no one can take away. We missed the war and the holocaust and some of us Vietnam so don’t have the horrors others do. 70’s were good to us, treasures deep inside us. Every time we listen to this music others around us may never know our secrets.

Anyway, all of these songs had videos. I remember going to the arcade and there was this screen showing nothing but music videos. I thought wouldn't that be cool if there was some way we could get that in ourh house. If we could get that as a TV channel. We didn't have cable yet, but it wasn't long before we got it and I was thrilled it was a tv channel.That was during the days that MTV just showed music videos. I'd say I like 80% of these songs.

This is the music from my teenage years through my early twenties. So many memories good and bad, but the best times in my life and the early 90's. I am just so grateful that I was present during that era and got to experience a way of life (a simple life) that will never be experienced by anyone again. Times will never be like they were which is very unfortunate for young people. Shoot no more cruise, no more keggers, hardly any more dances even, its sad. I guess tik tok, twitter and snapchat is their fun these days. yuk.
