Story Time: Huge Corporate Marketing Fail!

Yes, I’m eating hot Cheetos while telling the story. No I will not be elaborating on what the acronym CFM stand for. You can go look it up on urban dictionary. This is a story of the time I was working at a company that did not consult me (the marketing person) at the time when they decided to change the name. They bought domain names and filed the paperwork before even mentioning it to me... and then expected us (the two people in marketing) to come up with a new logo and get everything swapped over in a couple weeks! Cubic feet per minute? That’s nonsense. The first group to consult is legal. As Elon is going to find out, when you don’t run it past legal, you find that you can violate patents, trademarks, etc. and get your ass SUED for more than the marketing department costs in an entire year. If legal approves a proposed name change, then give it to marketing.
