Robin, I’m glad our generation learned to eat seasonal foods! I’m always happy for the first cool weekend, so I can make cabbage soup. Who really needs meat? I use beans for my protein much of the time. They are always available, and I buy in bulk. Wonderful to see you today.

I make pots of soup year round and refrigerate it. I eat it daily out of the pot. Easy, tasty.

Yes friends I keep my food scraps to make winter soup.. I’m not a canner but I do this base in ziploc bags and I just add food scraps to mine and it makes a lot and re-freeze

I'm a canner too, and I happen to have a head of cabbage in my refrigerator and a few vegetables from the garden still. Instead of the canned tomatoes, I'm going to blender up some fresh tomatoes to a sauce and see if that's enough. But I am going to the store to buy more jars as all the pint jars I have are already full.

Its been upper 80s and 90s i have been waiting since spring for cooler weather. I love fall it just taking to long to hit my area.

I’m not a canner, but both my kids are, not sure how that happened. 😂I’m more of the throw it in the freezer type. 😂Thanks for sharing! 🥰
