Day 25 - Love | BREATH - A 30 Day Yoga Journey

It’s a lovefest today. A big one. A brave one. Each time you show up it is an act of love. A Whitney Houston high-note kind of act. I very much believe that half (or more) of the battle is showing up… so get there, my dear, and begin to feel the love that you deserve.

Fall in love with the sound of your breath. This is sacred space that we have been cultivating here. And today, I boldly invite us to acknowledge that.

We put a lot of the elements from previous practices together today. I hope you LOVE it.

Wow. This practice was emotional for me. At the end when Adriene said, "Look at your beautiful hands, " I looked at my 71-year-old, arthritic, bony hands and I was so immediately grateful to have hands and really got choked up. I absolutely cannot do without your wonderful daily gift to all of us, Adriene. Thank you!

I eagerly wait for 10 pm local time to see what wonderful gift Adriene has for me when I wake up. I am proud to share that I completed 326 days of daily yoga today using yoga with adriene. As I am approaching the one year mark in a few weeks, I can safely say that daily yoga is the best decision I have taken in my adult life. I love reading the experiences of this community. Thank you yoga community and thank you angelic Adriene.

I love that Benji took Adriene’s advice and sought his own love and comfort by taking a seat right on Adriene’s legs. The video started off with Adriene showing Benji love and ended with Benji returning the love to Adriene. This video was aptly named 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾.

"Look at your beautiful hands" - My dad passed away a month ago and yesterday was hard so I got up this morning with intention. While doing the practice today, I lost myself and felt so relaxed and when you said open your eyes to look at our hands, it was a great surprise, made me smile and reminded me to not forget the little things. While looking at my reflection in the pond, I imagined three little ducklings swimming over to congregate around my feet. Trying to "get a good view" of the ducklings helped me extend a bit further and maintain the integrity of my posture.

I began to weep & then to sob. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be loved unconditionally & to love myself. Such love has been in short supply in my life, even as a child.

I pulled my notebook towards me while still on the mat & started a list of things I like about myself. Before long, I'd filled the whole page, & I had stopped crying.
