What I really like about your lessons that you explain sounds combinations which mostly cause us major problems in speaking. Your lessons are great! Thanks :)

As someone born in Canada and very familiar with North American English as my first language, I must say that you are an expert on pronunciation. As I watch your vidoes, it makes me realize all these little things I do subconsciously to create the words and intonation and pacing. I try out your suggestions, but find that I am already doing those things because I naturally learned them as a child I guess.

It's fascinating though, and you have clearly got a knack for explaining the intricacies of the English language to those who are trying to learn the language.

the key moment to learn the position of the tongue.

This is what I never found in other tutorials.
Thanks

I come from Spanish speaking country and I tend to emphasize the letter "R" instinctively, it is truly amazing how my R pronunciation got much better . Thank you Hadar 🌹

Thank you so much for this, Hadar. I'm a native of Brazilian Portuguese speaker and since we DO use the R like Americans do in the state where I grew up, I had never thought about how difficult this could be for people that come from other parts of Brazil. Apart from that, people from my state/culture/linguistic variation are often referred to as "rednecks", which means a kind of prejudice that I think is also in the way for my students to reproducing this specific sound correctly.

Yes, it does exist in another 'language': Brazilian Portuguese. People from some regions of the States of São Paulo, Goiás and Minas Gerais tend to use this R sound. It's the main characteristic of those accents. Anyways, great video! Thanks a lot!

The 'rrr' sound actually does exist in portuguese, more specifically in south of Brazil, where I live, which makes it much easier to pronounce. The R makes this sound when it's followed by consonant or in the end of a word. I love your videos, they've helped me a lot!

Hadar you're probably one of the best in the world with what you're doing. That means in history as well, as such kind of approaches that you use today simply didn't exist 20-30 years ago. Ok, they did exist but they weren't popularized at all and were applied to advanced speakers in order to reset their pronunciation from the scratch (which is quite painful). Thank you very much, Hadar!

The "R" is my biggest challenge and the way you explain it makes it easy now.

So much fun! You are hilarious and exuberant. I get motivated more and more to pronounce better so that I can communicate with native speakers freely and confidently. Thanks a lot.

In Portuguese the dogs bark: AU AU 😊 And our R in the beginning of the words is open like the "h" sound.

The best explanation could give someone knows more than one language and today you can use typing by voice to check your pronunciation. If your "R" isn't recognized, you said something wrong. If Google translate does not recognize what you said, you can check it by typing the word in one window and selecting input by voice in another window. If it does not recognize what was played, that means something wrong with a program.
