Any discussion of climate change and human health should include the traumatic physical and psychological events occurring near the ultimate source of global warming: the extractive industry work sites, or "man camps," across the U.S. and Canada. The most shocking of these events is the abuse, disappearance and murder of indigenous women along the pipelines. Recent films such as Wind River (2017) and Ecstasy (2017) have brought attention to this crisis.
