One of WoW's best features is that it runs on a potato, so I'm not surprised multiboxing can be done on middle of the road hardware if you set it up right.


I've been streaming my 3 boxing on a 1050ti with default graphics settings and noticed frame drops occasionally so I looked, and found that I was maxing out my video card. I took only a couple minutes to go through your slot swap video and now my video card sits around 40%. It feels like the extra clients aren't even there.

I have been using a 2600k sabertooth p67 16 gigs of ram and a nvidia gtx 580 1.5gb gpu. And had no problem playing 5 clients with low settinga. Have only swaped the gpu for a rx 590 8 gb and am now running 10 clients. With main client on decent settings. And using about 60% of the 2600k, maxing vram and ram in 1080 on two displays.

You should slap a current gen video card into this system and see how well it does.

@multiboxology can you explain your hardware setup? Are you using a KVM? With blizz's update i'm looking to stay within TOS by dropping the use of autohotkey (key cloning) and instead maybe running wow on an old computer using a kvm.

so nice video :D my girlfriend multibox with a gtx 750 ti and i5 3330, she do it with 3 accounts, with only 8gb of ram, she normally do it at 30fps background and 60 main, but to be honest, never asked her how are her fps, only configurations, i will show her this video :D, it is really interesting some stuff you do to get more fps, so maybe she can play a little better on main now.

How do you set the alt accounts to lower graphics? Everytime I restart my games they are all on max graphics just like my main acc.
