My son, my ex, and myself all live in TX.  We have a current order in place from Louisiana in 2014 that has NOT been transferred to TX yet.  My ex is hinting around that he is going to deny me visitation.  I am wanting to transfer the order to TX, but I have a VERY important question first.  If I transfer the order to TX for custody/visitation purposes ONLY, does it also, by default, apply to child support ALSO?  Are these entities handled and completely separate in the eyes of Texas law?  Does transferring custody/visitation immediately trigger child support also?  Would you also provide me with the Texas Law Rule applicable to your answer?Thank you SO VERY MUCH for your time!

**I know you cant give leagl advice just looking for your professional opinion**

so my attorney didnt utilize discovery no interogatories or admissions of guilt etc. Then I find out he was billing me unethically and withdrew from my case 30 days before the trial of our dissolution (WA state) I was looking to replace my counsel and just recently was able to obtain a consultation 18 oct in which case the firm asked me to ask the court for a continuance when I went to note the motion the dates available were not until after the trial. So I sent an email to the judges assistant along with a declaration a motion and a hearing note. in your professional opinion if you have seen this happen how long did the judge give for a continuance? Did they allow for discovery so said party could thoroughly investigate their case?

Thank you for your time
JJ
