This video has been immensely helpful in setting up RetroArch on my Stream+ Android TV. I tried a few controllers purchased at local Electronics retailer that were useless, and expensive, and I began to believe it was the Stream+. I finally purchased a $13 controller that although looked exactly the same as one I tried earlier, specifically said worked with Android TV, and Fire TV. It paired immediately and began following your video step by step, and within 15 minutes was playing NES, and SNES games perfectly. Thank you so much ! You have saved me many grey hairs.

This was a great tutorial video for me, you laid out the instructions perfectly. I used it on a really old android tv box running android 6.0 and this tutorial worked! I used a retro game pad that worked to get around untill I could change the buttons for other controllers. It's awesome to be able to find resources like yours even for older gear. Thanks!

I earlier installed this retro arch on my TV box I played all games now I again installed retro arch using your video on my old 8 gb/1 gb TV box lying as waste.. I downloaded one link roms from Google containing thousands of roms of nes snes and gba etc and copied in TV box internal memory and scanned using retro arch .. My old cheap Chinese TV box became a retro console with thousands of games it's so much fun.. I recommend use logitech gamepad for best results

What is you video resolution or any settings to make the game look good on my flat screen lcd tv? I tried a lot of settings but it still doesn't look good. The image is stretched that it looks terrible.

Regarding saving progress: be sure to "Close content" from the menu after each session. The save file is ONLY WRITTEN after doing so.

Thanks a bunch, i have 2 android boxes that are collecting dust, i was watching tutorial on how to setup retroarch on xbox, then i stumble on raspberry pi, Amazon fire stick and then i saw this video. Will give it a try, mi brother and i got a little bit nostalgic for old games. Thnx. Just wandering, is it possible to conect two controllers if i had more usb slots?

There are some Retroarch configurations that put all your games into a "horizontal cycle".
Is there a way to load existing configuration files into the software to get different "start up looks"?

Any work around on using any input to navigate menu after fresh install? I can’t get anywhere . Tried keyboard, Bluetooth controller. Not sure what I can do
