Get a Retrotink 2x or Retrotink 5x and some good cables and you are set!

It should be mentioned that the image quality for games coming from those adapters is very poor. This is because these adapters were made for DVD/VHS players, which output a different type of signal than most retro consoles. If you want your consoles to actually look good on a modern TV, getting a retrotink/OSSC is a much better choice. Those will be more expensive though.

Don’t forget to change your aspect ratio to 4:3 on that input

They're a neat concept, too bad the delay is always appalling. Gotta get a CRT TV or at least an old school flat screen to actually play.

Had to buy one for my PS2 and I'm so thankful it exists

That’s quite cool, even though modern tvs already have av outputs

PSA: I wouldnt recommend these to any speed runners as this causes about a fifth of a second of input lag, which can ruin runs that require a bunch of precise inputs (IE: Super Mario Bros, A Link to the Past, etc)

I got the Nin-Switcho which allows you to ug up to 8 retro systems at once and play any of them through 1 HDMI cable

I think it would be courteous to mention that the games will suffer a loss on visual quality with the use of these things.

To anyone who wants a crisp and clean image when playing retro on modern displays, go for the Retrotink 5x - worth every penny.

I bought one of these off Amazon to try and play my Nintendo Wii again...

Safe to say it did NOT work at all. Glitchy image, constant flickering, and the picture was discoloured and constantly scrolling.

So I bought a Wii2HDMI Adapter, and it works great!

Be sure to use the best video format available on your system. In the US that's composite for NES (without mods), RGB on SNES, S-Video on N64 (RGB mod is simple and cheap), and GameCube forward support digital output (GameCube requires an external HDMI adapter or mod).

I have this got it recently on Amazon for 10$ for nes recording as my retrotink 2x broke and is under repair still and it's pretty good but the quality isnt quite up to retrotink of course and there is notable ghosting on dark parts of the games. For example, you can see a sort of trail residue when waling on dark screens from your character and that's not an nes or game problem its the adapter.

Some of the new tvs already has you covered so you just plug the yellow cord into the green port that's why it has a Y under it
