Sorry to say I've the same laptop with similar specs after 2-3 years battery started swelling and the top panel started breaking because and along with that the hinge broke. So I decided to remove the battery and replace it with a new one and again after 6 months it started broke, upon asking HP service said the hinge"s warrent periode is upto 3 months.

To keep things safe and smooth, always invite the delivery person into your compound or home to unbox securely. If that's not an option, unbox it on the ground to avoid any mishaps.

Using hp pavilion gaming laptop from last 3 year i have the same laptop the issue with this model is that it's made of plastic body and it's hinges are very badly placed and usually breaks after a year or so
