I think they're certainly an intriguing truck. Have said for a long time, if they had today's motors in the mid 90s sized trucks, we WOULD be hitting the fuel mileage goals we should. The Maverick is proving this true! If that 2.0L was in your 96 ranger, yea...it probably would get that 26mpg. Thanks for sharing!

I have seen reviews that getting the FX4 and 4K helps the 0-60 because of the extra add on with gears like you said and cooling. I'm sure getting an 93 octane tune will boost the times easy. Ford did offer tunes in house warranty covered on the 2.0 Eco's hope they will for this.

Awesome truck! I've got one on order, just sitting and waiting. Regarding the elbow support on the door - It looks like you are reclined pretty far back, with the wheel extended out to match. Not saying it would be more comfortable for you specifically, but do you think it would offer you a bit more room if the seat were tipped forward a bit?
