Only have owned 2 new cars (and a bunch of used) in my whole 56 year driving career. 1st new car was an orange 1976 Honda Civic 5 spd hatchback. One of the best cars I ever had....of course they put on 2 front fenders for free cause of recall on rust and did a whole upper end engine job also because of coolant gasket issues (which I don't think that it had but they did it anyway). Gave up on it at 175K miles which was a lot back then especially in the Maine rust belt.

No one buys a Honda for gas mileage. At least not in Europe. Theyre way behind other manufacturers on this aspect. But they do make bullet proof engines

The two most reliable vehicles I have ever owned : 1993 Honda Civic Si, 1998 Toyota Camry, 2017 Honda Civic LX.

Owner of a 2007 Accord, 2010 Acura TSX, 2013 Odyssey and a 2017 Accord Coupe V6. No CVT's for me. It's a shame they stopped making the coupe.

Before we purchased my Camry, we looked at consumer reports. Each category is listed green for best and red for worst, and variants between. Honda had a few yellow and Toyota had all green. Those are proven by owners which brands are the most reliable. Scotty is spot on.

I love my 2018 Civic. I had an 03 civic and loved it. The power that 18 civic has is unbelievable! Touch the gas and it's gone.

Got a ‘24 Touring Hybrid a few months ago and love this car. Fun to drive every time I get in it. Great car.

Had a Civic for 12 years. Only major expense was changing the belt. Best vehicle I ever owned. Great gas mileage, replacing tires was cheap, and no major engine issues.

I have a '97 civic DX manual. Fkn reliable still, never any major work 250k miles on it. Not that's fast anymore but recently went through Colorado so it's ok. And I have my daily '07 Civic ex manual, 380k and drives excellent, only the odometer doesn't work, but that's why we have gps like Google maps

I liked that I could fit my mountain bike in the back of my old Acura Integra when I put the back seat down. Just look at how much room is in that Civic. It was considerably more secure against theft than using a bike rack.
