Most underrated song from Top Gun
Absolute epic cinematic

Honestly, I feel like this song suits the F-14 so well. This is not just because the song is from "Top Gun" (1986), but because the song kinda feels like a finally, which in a sense sums up the F-14 as a whole, what with it having been the last of Grumman's "Big Cat" fighters - the F4F Wildcat, F6F Hellcat, F7F Tigercat, F8F Bearcat and the F9F Panther/Cougar are the others - that and as of right now (5/23/2022) it was Grumman's last Navy fighter and just represents a whole late Cold War kinda aircraft - twin engine/twin tail with the angled engine intakes (F-14, F-15, F/A-18, MiG-25, MiG-29, MiG-31, etc.) - that we will probably never see again.

I saw tomcats all day long growing up in va beach va, I remember the day in 2006 when they made their final flight due to retirement. The sky got a whole lot more boring

I love the army, but I loved the air force too, it's impressive what they do to protect us, how they manage that for you! They are truly our guardian angels of heaven :) Bravo and respect gentlemen

And we should have gotten more tomcat variants like the quick strike and super tomcat 21 instead of the Mid F-18…

Maybe not the best plane in DCS but it's the most beautiful
