The F14 was the reason I fell in love with aviation! It’s a beast to see in person! The sound those big GE engines make is one of those sounds that makes you proud to be an American! When you’re out of Tomcats you’re out of fighters. Any time baby! Fly Navy!!!!

As a teenager, I became a Sea Cadet and met several Top Gun pilots at NAS Miramar during a 2 week training. Shout out to Psycho and Trigger, both F14 pilots, and SSGT Rodney Danzler for helping a young man earn his wings.

The only thing that could have made top gun 2 better was Maverick finishing cleaning his p-51 and then it zooms out and there’s an f-14 next to it and says something about “should have bought some more soap.”

We get these every once in a while as well as many others in Ospreys and Dauphins. Sitting in the flight path to the SAS has its benefits if you like aircraft!
