Plane Knowledge and mentality are some of the fundamentals of getting better. So before I will get into things I will start addressing those. These things will help you grind faster in the long run, as well as make the game a lot less frustrating.

I don't get the mentality of searching for an RB game for 2 minutes, taking off and climbing to altitude for another 5, just to do the paths of hate full commit head on to ram. Then just do it all over again. I just don't get it.

The problem is the fact that most of the player base have been playing for years now. This means that as soon as someone new comes, they play for a week or two and they immediately start facing people with thousands of gameplay hours. The game becomes a repeat of climb for 5 minutes and get shot down in 10 seconds. And sure, you might say “Well you get better by playing with people stronger than you”. But this is a game, it should be fun first and foremost. If I have to train for months just to be able to enjoy the game than it’s no longer a game but an unpaid job.

Love the thumbnail. The intro is also really nice. Hopefully this tutorial goes to as many people as it's possible.

Honestly I really look forward to this series. As an AB main who dabbles in jet RB a lot, its very different and difficult. Hoping to learn a lot from you man.

i think i blame myself because ever since the beginning, no one on my team would fly with me. so no matter how good or bad i did, it was all on me because there are no teammates to blame. also, i’ve been improving a lot lately because i play for fun and i sometimes learn from my mistakes. this guy is talking good facts, i can confirm

So I actually applied this. I left bombers alone, didn’t join lemming trains, avoided head ons, covered team mates etc etc. ended up going 14 kills and 3 deaths in 10 matches. Thanks for the advice, and please keep these coming!

When you said that you can enjoy this game I remembered when I started to play the British tech tree; I was playing for a weekend and I sucked, but at the end, I got a beautiful kill and it made my week

Really enjoying these stepping stone videos. I guess I was unreasonably hoping for a "this is how you become excellent in RB" video, but I think you've hit the nail on the head that to even begin approaching that, you have to have a solid foundation of experience, good mentality and self-reflection. I have war thunder uninstalled at the moment, because I burnt out on AB Air, and just didn't have the confidence to step in to RB given how different it is. But your videos are definitely improving the likelihood I'll reinstall in the near future. Hopefully the skies will be full of people who watched your videos too. Good job.
