Thanks David. I'm happy with my butterfly decks. And they are lovely to look at too.

If you slightly spread or bevel the deck it makes it a lot less obvious that the edges are marked because the back pattern breaks the white border anyway. Thanks for the review!

I loved marked decks and have a lot so this is a no brainer for me. Thanks for alerting this to me David.

Awesome as usual, David! I WANT ONE 😫 Low on funds now but hopefully, it'll be available when I can add it to my covert deck collection! 😊

Thank you, sir!

David you're correct the deck is well made and feels good. Once learned I'm sure the edge back markings will be easy. This is my first and I'm learning.

Like 🦋 🦋 … difficult edge-mark system of markings 🤷‍♂️
Thanks for reviewing David

Thanks for the review, David. It looks very similar to his GPS deck (which I own), it would be interesting to know how it differs from that one or what the upgrades are.

If you can find a deck of red white and blue cards you can use that tuck case for the flight deck.

So we should use it for regular card tricks, then hit them with the boom bam Thank you sir trick?

I am not colorblind. I see colors. But I have Deuteranopia, which makes it difficult to see or distinguish certain shades of blues and/or reds, (for example, if there is red writing on a blue background or - like at Christmastime, Red writing on a green background - I won’t see the writing. I may be able to tell there is something there, but I can’t read it. I also see some blues as purple and some oranges as red.).
I got this deck and I have two problems with it, the first with the colors. Unless I am reading the markings under very bright light, (such as noonday sunshine or a 100 watt ‘daylight’ bulb/light), I have quite a bit of trouble distinguishing between the blue and red. It’s all just a dark mark to me under most lighting conditions. …Or unless I don’t just bevel/angle the deck, but do something nigh unto a full spread. If I do that, I can override the ‘colorblindness’ issue. But who’s going to do that?! That’s just telegraphing what you’re doing. That falls under the, “it’s too easy” category. So I’m stuck using these outside on a sunny summer day, apparently.

Secondly, the markings that go along the side are intuitive and easy enough to determine the card. The ones that go along the bottom took my brain a bit to pivot and adjust, as the markings go from being top to bottom, to being left to right instead of staying top to bottom, (based on the viewing angle, which is different unless you pivot the deck). I think they should’ve covered that in the instructional video. It only needs a brief mention, and it’s a minor thing. But it did take me a moment of my brain going, “wait…how did I not get that card right?”.
Not a big deal and when I ‘got it, ’ I got it permanently. But maybe worth a mention.
These are (obviously) not Bicycle stock, (I mention that because that seems to be the first question or concern for a lot of magicians), and they feel slightly “thinner” to me. Doesn’t mean they don’t handle well or aren’t good quality, because both of those things are true. But they don’t feel or handle quite like I’m used to with Bicycle or even Phoenix cards. Not an issue for me, but something I think is worth noting.
So if you have any kind of Deuteranopia, (which is the most common type of “colorblindness” and is also often incorrectly categorized as “red/green colorblindness), where some shades of blues or reds are problematic for you, then you may have a smidge of trouble with reading the markings on this deck.

One way to get around if they ask why it says flight deck would be just to say you picked it up at a airshow that you went to a couple months ago or something along those lines

Hi David, Thanks for this review, I've never tried a edge marked deck. I don't like names that can be googled...
