After watching your last video on wc markers, I bought the portrait set with a few extra color markers to fill in the gaps for a more complete palette (phthalo blue, cad yellow and black). When I bring a small palette with me outside, I’ve found these much more fun and convenient to mess around with. I love the fact that it’s a great balance between controlled color mixing and free sketching. Great video!

Llevaba un tiempo con ganas de probar esos marcadores, aunque no terminaba de decidirme, ya que son bastante caros y no sabía si merecerían la pena. Finalmente me decidí y me llegaron hace unos días. La verdad es que estoy encantada con ellos, me estoy divirtiendo mucho experimentando todas sus posibilidades. Tienen unos colores intensos y ya he aprendido a controlarlos: pones muy poca cantidad y añadiendo suficiente agua, se diluyen y se extienden muy fácilmente. En tan poco tiempo he conseguido mejores resultados que en todos los años que llevo tratando de dominar la acuarela tradicional. Estoy contenta de haberlos comprado. ¡Y me han encantado tu muñeco de nieve y tus montañas❤!

I know this video is on watercolor markers. But how are water based markers different from this? Do the water based markers work the same when activated with water?

I would love to see the watercolor markers used directly on the paper without the use of a brush afterwards. I just bought my first set of basic watercolor markers and would like to see how they work on top of ink line work. Sometimes I feel that watercolor markers are just a “container” holding the watercolors and the real art starts by using brush and water. I’m not sure of the difference of getting the colors from another container like watercolor tubes and bottles. Maybe you can help me understand? I hope I said it correctly!

I'm having issues with activating after applying the markers.... Am I marking so hard that the lines never fully blend? Using cheap, poor quality markers? The wrong watercolor paper (rougher feel, which I thought all such watercolor paper was like)?
I apply the marker, then immediately add water and no matter how much I apply or work the area, the marked lines never blend much. Help please

Why so much plastic? There is no need for it.
