Whereas if Europe is sanctioning all aspects towards Russia then it's not a war.

This is not the correct depiction of the situation. If you cast your mind back, Russia was more than willing to supply oil and gas to Europe and the Nord Stream 2 pipeline had been built to increase the flow of gas. USA did not like the way this was going and wanted to overthrow the Russian supply to Europe and substitute its own US gas as the main supplier to Europe. USA pressurised EU and Germany not to certify the new North Stream 2 to that end.
Also USA had a long term strategy to apply pressure via Nato and UN on the borders between Russia and Europe by moving Nato ever nearer and placing missiles in reach of Russia. The plan was to promise Nato membership to Ukraine and Georgia.
This was made very obvious by the manipulation of Ukraine in 2014 with the presence of Victoria Newland, John McCain and other senators in Kiev who were openly discussing conflict between Ukraine and Russia with support from USA. Following that Hunter Biden and Joe Biden were also in Ukraine making influence and setting up Bio labs in Ukraine. All this can be easily verified and there are videos of these senators saying these things in Kiev.
USA applied SANCTIONS on Russia when they insisted that the Misk agreement was implemented by Ukraine. Nato and UN, led by USA, gave deaf ears to this request which started this conflict to enforce what the Minsk agreement would have achieved. Russia is now reacting to those economic SANCTIONS in the only way it can.
The SANCTIONS is what has started this economic strife which were implemented BY USA and EUROPE on Russia.
EU however is now short of energy supply in this plan, because USA cannot supply Europe as originally (badly) planned. US will leave them high and dry as they did with Afghanistan. While ever these SANCTIONS are in place, Europe will not have energy from Russia.
This was a long planned conflict with Russia using Ukraine, Georgia and Europe as pawns in the play. The SANCTIONS were a gift to Russian strategy.
Now USA is also pushing against China by stirring up Taiwan in the hope of having a military base in Taiwan to control the south China seas by USA.
The G(ormless) 7 think they can impose a price on Russian Oil, which will simply fall flat. Russia will sell energy to other countries and leave the G7 countries with nothing.

I need to be schooled here; who put up sanctions and against who? My understanding is that Europe imposed economic sanctions against Russia and if anything Russia should be the one to be complaining. The European citizens should demand patriotic leadership from their leaders who according to my opinion are allowing the USA to call the shots. Too ban for the Europeans!
