An international team of researchers has used CRISPR–Cas9 gene editing — a technique that allows scientists to make precise changes to genomes with relative ease — to correct a disease-causing mutation in dozens of viable human embryos. The study represents a significant improvement in efficiency and accuracy over previous efforts.

Designer babies are inevitable. Does anyone honestly think not? People are so shocked by technology like this. They fail to realize that all thru history people were shocked by new technology which is now accepted and people don't even think twice about it.

Of cause eliminating genetic diseases is a good thing.
Yet somehow my moral superiors pretend that it is problematic.
Why?
It means they can get paid to go on foreign junkets and pretend to gravely discuss the "ethical implications".

Ignore the busybodies and get on with the job.
