Sultan Husayn made a fatal mistake when he didn`t allow Vakhtang VI of Kartli (Georgia) to attack Dagestanis (North-Caucasians.) He was about to launch the offensive when the Shah`s messenger arrived and gave Vakhtang the firman ordering him to cancel the offensive. That day Vakhtang swore and he would never help the Shah and he did keep his world. Otherwise, he would have moved toward Isfahan and attacked the Afghans. Nobody knows how everything would have ended, had this been the case.

The Afghans have easily conquered, but have been unable to hold an empire. Likewise, Afghanistan has been invaded by many empires but none have been able to hold it.
