Truly a pity. I think o voted for prop 47. Big facepalm movement for me and probably a bunch of other people that see the lawlessness and lack of accountability that it had lead to.

Certain crimes, like heroin posession, and shooting up drugs in public. It's a problem.

Thou shall not steal
Exodus 20:15

It said, no fixed amount.

But man makes a
Law that is deprave with reprobate brain.
Thinking doing good but actually Evil. Twisting the truth, no matter what, it is sin to steal.

The reason this was put on the ballot some federal judge required calif to empty out it overcrowded prison or else.. gov brown did just that. He released 200, 000 non violent offenders onto the streets shifting the burden from state to county jails plus shifting a bigger burden onto the probation dept with extra money.. unfortunately these non violent offenders had no homes to go to the county jails couldn't handle them. Prop 47 was to make sure our prisons and jails had room for only the worst criminals relying on drug treatment programs to rehabilitate drug user etc. As with any program that rely on funding from the state they were underfunded of course then covid hit closing jails and courts and more criminals were release. The perfect storm .. the state gov was devastated by covid plus many quit or were fired refusing to mask etc plus there was no tax revenue coming in just on big cluster f ck
