60% in Class 12 to Cracking Google & Amazon | Story of a Software Engineer from a Tier-3 College

I barely managed 60% marks in my Board Exams. I failed JEEs twice , and got into a Tier 3 college in Kolkata (UEM Kolkata) , where we were the very first batch. Coming from state board , I couldn't understand coding , and used to feel lost , when I saw my classmates knowing 2-3 programming languages. As we were the very first batch , we had no seniors to guide us , nor there were too many online resources to help me , way back in 2015.

I got 6 pointers in my first semester , but thankfully that improved in the later semesters.
I never got any good internship opportunity , as people refused to give me referrals based on my college tag. I didn't knew where my life was heading towards.

In 2018 , in my final year of college , I got rejected by TCS , and in 2019 , I started working for a service based company , due to lack of good placement opportunities. I remember during placements, our college was not even eligible for Hack with Infy , a coding competition run by Infosys.

From there , I managed to work for Amazon , Salesforce and currently Google , and have cracked many other multiple offers from top tech companies , in the process. Sharing my journey in this video , not to flex , but to motivate , inspire people , and also to spread awareness based on my experiences and learnings.

Well said brother, i can relate from your life story to mine, that i am also from Tier 3 private engineering college after passed out from college, not get any jobs from college after computer science engineering background also not getting any opportunities to start career in technology but now startups hired me and working in technology now, always be hopeful it will definelty get not today but any day if you never left trying than noone will stop you to get your dream work one day.
