Terraria max melee damage is absurd... Melee Damage. So we've looked at max melee speed and max dodge, now its time for maximum damage! Today I show off the many ways you can increase your % melee damage, ranging from armour, accessories and character buffs. Unlike the other 2 maxed out builds, the viability of this setup is actually fantastic, giving you the ability to take out bosses like the Moonlord in sub 20 seconds with the Zenith. I'd 100% give this setup a go! Enjoy!

I've seen many videos explaining damage and crit chance in Terraria. Basically, even tho this it's the highest base damage, the highest DPS it's obtained by also adding crit chance, so you're hitting big numbers more consistently instead of occasionally.

If you get a friend (or an alt if you don’t know what those are) and make them equip nebula armor you can get an extra 15% damage buff from the damage nebula buff after collecting 3 of the pink wisps that drop after they kill enemies.

If you’re using yo-yos you can swap out the putrid scent for the yo-yo bag. This makes it even more cracked if you’re using something like the terrarian

This can be optimized by getting as much crit chance as you can, on top of it. Not sure where the perfect balance is, but a mix of menacing and lucky always gets me more damage than just menacing.

havent started the video yet but i reckon the setup includes at least 5 damage boosting accessories, those in question being: warrior, destroyer, and avenger emblems, mechanical glove, and fire gauntlet.

fun fact: with cheat sheet, you can add 6 extra accesory slots with them all having warrior emblems. Not sure why you can have 7 of the same accessories at a time, but it's amazing.

One of my friends who used to play this with me figured out an insane melee glass cannon build while we were messing around in an all-items world called Builder's Workshop, and I've actually improved it a little since then. Just to let y'all know, this build is purely focused on raw melee damage output, and not much else. If you get hit a few times, you're still dead, and this build _does_ require your world to be in Master Mode.

If y'all want a list of what I used for the updated version, the current build is as follows:

*Armor*
- Helmet: Shinobi Infiltrator's Helmet (Provides a 20% increase in melee damage)
- Chest armor: Solar Flare Breastplate (Provides a 29% increase in melee damage)
Leg armor: Orichalcum Leggings (Provides an 8% increase in overall damage, the best relevant damage increase I could find, as well as an 11% increase in movement speed)

*Accessories:*
- Celestial Starboard (This accessory has nothing to do with melee damage, but helps you avoid getting hit as much, thanks to the movement abilties it provides - You could replace this with the Putrid Scent for an additional 5% overall damage increase if you use the Shrimpy Truffle mount for movement, like in this video)
- Celestial Shell (Provides a 10% increase in overall damage, as well as many other boosts, with an additional 5.1% melee damage increase at night, as well as some other boosts)
- Fire Gauntlet (Provides a 12% increase in melee damage and melee speed, as well as a 10% increase to the size of your melee weapons, in addition to temporarily lighting enemies you hit with melee attacks on fire)
- Mechanical Glove: (Same benefits as Fire Gauntlet, but without the fire. The reason it's here is because the boosts that accessories provide can often be stacked alongside those of their upgrades, with the Fire Gauntlet being an upgrade of the Mechanical Glove)
- Warrior Emblem (Provides a 15% increase in melee damage)
- Avenger Emblem (Provides a 12% increase in overall damage)
- Destroyer Emblem (Provides a 10% increase in overall damage, as well as an 8% increase to critical strike chance)
*All accessories should be reforged to the Menacing modifier so that each one provides an additional 4% damage increase*

*Weapon:* Zenith (Reforged to Legendary)

If you've done it right, your Zenith should do around 525 damage at night, and somewhere between 400-500 damage during the day.

Edit: After watching this video, I learned that the Shinobi Infiltrator's Helmet provides a 20% increase in melee damage, as opposed to the 16% increase that the Frost Helmet provides, so I'm updating the build accordingly.
