Greg Abate and Channel One Light

This is Greg's first LP as leader with his group Channel One and it dates from 1981 when he played in a very different style from that of today. It would be another ten years before he recorded again.

Now he is a confirmed and committed bopper but here he comes over as a jazz fusioneer with music typical of the period but don't let that put you off there is some fine alto and flute work from him.
Greg must be the busiest musician around these days. He tours extensively and plays around 225 gigs a year both in the States, the UK and elsewhere. so if you get the chance do go along to hear him and say Hello. He's very approachable and you can even get his cds at a discount price!
